Jio Institute played host to an Athletics Coaches Meet, showcasing its cutting-edge Athletics and Sporting Facilities to Coaches and Athletes from six districts in and around Mumbai. The event proved to be a remarkable gathering of 45 National, State, and All-India University Level Coaches and Athletes who visited to explore the Campus Sporting Facilities. The attendees explored the state-of-the-art facilities, evoking a positive response and keen interest in utilizing the infrastructure for their athletes' training needs.
The Athletics Coaches Meet highlighted Jio Institute's commitment to excellence in Grassroots Sports Development and robust Sporting Infrastructure. The showcased facility met and exceeded the expectations of the Coaches and Athletes, setting a new standard for athletic training sites in the region.
After the coaches and athletes experienced the facilities, there was an informative and interactive Q&A session where all participants received a brief overview of the scope of work by Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS), RISE Worldwide, and The Education and Sports for All (ESA). The interaction during the Q&A session revealed a collective enthusiasm for optimizing these facilities to uplift the level of athletic training and development.
Jio Institute's dedication to sports development aligns seamlessly with the initiatives of Reliance Foundation, particularly through Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS), RISE Worldwide, and Education and Sports for All (ESA). Reliance Foundation Youth Sports, a nationwide program, promotes sportsmanship and healthy competition for school and college athletes. RISE Worldwide, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, engages a vast youth audience through properties like Hero Indian Super League and Lakme Fashion Week. The Education and Sports for All (ESA) initiative, part of Reliance Foundation's outreach, focuses on education and sports development, positively impacting over 13 million children. These programs are designed to engage, empower, and uplift young Athletes and students, contributing to holistic development across the country.
Previously, Jio Institute hosted the Raigad District Track and Field Sports Championship, welcoming 250 participants and 10 coaches. The world-class track and field facility, along with a hi-performance gymnasium, illustrates the institute's commitment to nurturing sports talent and setting a new standard in the region.
Currently hosting the RFYS program, Jio Institute contributes to the growth of India's sporting community by providing dedicated training facilities for athletes aspiring to compete at state, national, and Olympic levels.
