Call for Special Session Proposals
Special Sessions are intended to complement the regular technical program of IDEA 2026 by focusing on emerging and specialized research themes within well-defined domains of interest. These sessions are expected to be organized by established researchers and reflect their scholarly expertise and contributions to the field.
Each Special Session proposal should provide a concise overview of the current state-of-the-art and identify significant research challenges and future directions. Proposals should be clearly distinguished from the regular conference tracks and demonstrate minimal overlap.
Proposal Requirements
Proposals should not exceed two pages and must include the following information:
- Title of the proposed Special Session along with a short abbreviation.
- Names and affiliations of the Session Chair(s), including brief biographical information and contact details (email addresses and Scopus links of all chairs).
- Session abstract describing the theme, the significance of the topic, and the motivation for organizing the proposed session.
- List of topics of interest relevant to the proposed Special Session.
- Include a Call for Paper (CPF).
Submit all these information via email ideacon@jioinstitute.edu.in.
The final decision on Special Session proposals will be based on the novelty of the topic, its relevance to the scope of the conference, and its multidisciplinary significance.
Decisions regarding acceptance will be communicated within three weeks, along with detailed procedural guidelines. Approved Special Session Calls for Papers will subsequently be published on the conference website.
