Dr. Manoni is the Head of Coordination of IT Services at the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana (BAV).Her research and work areas focus on metadata, digital libraries, interoperability protocols and long term preservation for cultural heritage. Paola is deeply involved in international standardization processes. She is the president of the UNI Technical Committee "Documentation and Information“. Paola represents the Vatican Library in many international initiatives such as the IIIF, the Virtual International Authority Files (VIAF) and the European RDA Interest Group (EURIG). She is one of the three members coordinating the IIIF Italian Community and is the relator of the upcoming Italian national standard NWI UNI 1605177 – Documentazione e Informazione, International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF).
