Kam Chohan

Executive Director of ECIS, UK

Kam Chohan has served as the Executive Director of ECIS since August 2020, after first joining the organisation in February 2018 as Chief Operating Officer.

With her foundation in both education and leadership, Kam brings insight, wisdom, and compassion to her role. She is widely recognized for her ability to build meaningful and lasting relationships that foster both personal and organizational growth.

Prior to her leadership at ECIS, Kam lectured in mathematics and business, demonstrating a deep commitment to student learning and academic rigor. Her passion for innovation in education is evident in her collaboration with the UK Government’s Behaviour Insights Team, where she helped apply concepts such as Nudge Theory to improve student outcomes on a national level.

Kam is deeply committed to social justice, diversity, inclusion, and intercultural understanding within international education. Under Kam Chohan’s leadership, ECIS has significantly expanded its offerings, strengthened its global reputation, and experienced substantial growth.

Her influence and legacy in inclusive leadership are further reflected by IFIP who introduced the Kam Chohan Global Inclusion Award, created in recognition of her dedication to equitable leadership in 2024.
