Dr. Rajesh Maingi is Head of the Tokamak Experimental Science Department at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory in the United States. He also serves as Principal Investigator for a national initiative on liquid metal plasma-facing components and is a globally recognized leader in boundary plasma and fusion device research. Dr. Maingi has contributed to several flagship experiments including Alcator C-Mod, ASDEX-Upgrade, DIII-D, EAST, KSTAR, MAST, NSTX, and TdeV. With more than 900 publications and multiple distinctions including Fellowships of the American Physical Society and the American Nuclear Society, as well as the Princeton and PPPL Kaul Foundation Prize for Excellence in Plasma Physics, his work spans experimental innovation, materials development, and reactor engineering, advancing the realization of fusion as a practical and sustainable energy source.
