Prof. (Dr.) P M UDANI is presently working as Director General, CVM University. Prior to joining CVM University, Prof UDANI worked as President / Vice Chancellor – Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur.
He has 29 years of Research & Development experience at Space Applications Centre, ISRO – Ahmedabad.
He has contributed significantly in: remote sensing data products development and development of satellite navigation receiver and in technology development and commercialization ( IGiS - GIS & Image Processing Software & QPAD - Mobile GIS Software)
He worked as Deputy Project Director, National Database for Emergency Management, ISRO - MHA joint project for Disaster Management and developed Client-Server Distributed GIS – MIS Data Processing System.
He also worked as Regional Coordinator for Village Resource Centre (VRC) program of ISRO for Satellite Communication based services: Tele-education, Tele-medicine, E-governance and Natural Resources Management Held responsibilities as Project Manager for Technology Development for many National Level programs of ISRO.
Published more than 40 research papers for National / International journals and delivered more than 50 invited talks during conferences and workshops. Prof Udani is Fellow Member of Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). He was elected as National Executive Council Member of Indian Society of Geomatics (2014-17). Worked as Director, ISTAR – NAAC A Grade P G Studies & Research Institute in Gujarat during 2013-17.
