Recently, Jio Institute organized two Executive Education programmes – the “Marketing Analytics”course for industry professionals and “Artificial Intelligence & Data Science: Perspective, Pedagogy & Practice” for faculty.
These immersive programmes gave professionals and faculty the chance to learn from global academicians, researchers and industry experts, as well as network and collaborate.

The course drew in 12 participants from AJIO, Reliance Trends & Jio Financial Services, primarily consisting of experienced marketing managers.

It was delivered by Professor Ashok Charan, an Industry Icon and Marketing Veteran who previously served as Faculty at the National University of Singapore. Professor Charan, a distinguished figure in marketing analytics, has published acclaimed works on the subject and played a pivotal role in constructing analytical tools.
Unravelling the secrets of marketing
The course was designed to train participants in research methods and the application of analytical techniques that influence strategic decision-making in consumer marketing. Participants delved into the intricacies of building consumer loyalty using consumer analytics, improving the scope of search advertising with Google Ads, and leveraging marketing analytics tools.

AI and the Future of Education
From text generators to self-driving cars, AI is transforming every sphere of human life. In the education sector, AI and Data Science will play a key role, giving rise to new roles while requiring upskilling or reskilling for existing ones. To provide academic leaders and faculty members with a deeper understanding of AI & DS, Jio Institute convened the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Perspective, Pedagogy & Practice” in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical
Education (AICTE), Government of India.

The 5-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP), titled 'Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: Perspective, Pedagogy, and Practices,' attracted 35 participants from
renowned institutions across the education spectrum, including DY Patil, VJTI, Birla Institute of Technology, VIT, St. Francis Institute of Technology, ISBM College of Engineering, and many more.

The programme covered the fundamentals of AI in education and addressed its implications, responsible applications, potential misuses, security issues, and privacy concerns. The session explored the themes of the vast opportunities that AI presents in the education sector, and delved on how ethical and responsible AI is the precursor to inculcate these rapid technological advancements into the educational sphere.
Learning from the best
The programme began with a special visit to the Jio Institute campus by Professor TG Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE. Professor Sitharam delivered an opening address and presentation on the need to complement teaching practices with an understanding of AI, in order to upskill academicians. Subsequently, modules were conducted by senior faculty of Jio Institute, including Dr Divyakant Agrawal, Dr Larry Birnbaum, Dr Nilay Yajnik, Dr Samir Mukherjee, Dr Shailesh Kumar, Mr Sray Agarwal, Dr Varun Aggarwala, Dr Vishnuprasad Nagadevara as well as experts from leading organizations like Jio Platforms, and academic experts from institutions like UC Santa Barbara.
Seeing innovation in action
The FDP included participant-led projects and industrial exposure visits including the Technology Hub at Reliance Corporate Park. Participants got exposure to the projects being developed within the Reliance ecosystem, including the Jio 5G Experience Centre. Jio Institute offers many customized executive education modules aimed at keeping professionals and academicians updated with the latest trends in the industry, and to solve complex real-world business problems to lead innovation.
