Christmas at Jio Institute Dazzles with Baubles of Emotion

Be it the jolly goodies of the winter festivities, the red and green festoons, the decorated spiky conifers or the air of wafting chocolate, Jio Institute was redolent with all of these and more. On a special day in December, everyone at the Jio Institute decided to give a flavour of playful merriment to the environs and their selves.

On the day of Christmas celebrations the employees took up the secret santa gifts distribution. It was a delight to see the HR department in the guise of Santa and his reindeer retinue spreading joy across floors. The friends and family of the employees soon started pouring in and the premises were abuzz with hearty chatters. Everyone was busy clicking selfies inside the festive booths decorated with effigies of snowmen and santas while kids were busy playing around toys. Others busied themselves with decorating the Christmas tree with baubles.

The employees then competed in a muffin decorating competition wherein various dragees, skittles, whipped cream tubes and glittery comestibles participated to win the prize. Then it was time to play the musical chair and passing the parcel games. The kids had a special dance and freeze game.

Further everyone was addressed by the guest speaker Ms. Vijaya Carvalho who was a head teacher for 25 years and is the Sunday school coordinator at the St. Francis Xavier Church, Panvel. Ms. Carvalho spoke about the importance of us working as a society towards everyone’s upliftment. On the employee recognition award ceremony, employees who have been in the system for near around half a decade were awarded for their diligence and integrity.

The assemblage was then presented a nativity skit wherein employees dressed as Joseph, Mary, angel Gabriel, shepherd and three wise men enacted the beings from mythology. The immersive skit was followed by the melody of carols sung by adults and children.

It was then a time for the dance floor to be open for everyone and absolute fun thrived when everyone grooved on Bollywood dance numbers. The evening wrapped up in a wholesome sumptuous Christmas dinner and friends and families around.
