Lead – Content Partnerships, Jio Tesseract

Ishika Gupta is a video journalist turned AR/VR technologist, bringing harmony between the two disciplines.

She has a degree in Multimedia and Mass Communication from IP College, Delhi University and a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University in the City of New York. At Delhi University, she produced media projects spanning radio, short docs, and TV programmes and researched how the Indian youth consumes news with a focus on platform reach.

At Columbia University, she launched the school's first academic 360-degree virtual reality short documentary, managed and designed the school's annual digital video showcase website, planned and produced short docs on the gig economy in New York, and covered the Pope's NY visit and UNGA 2015.

Since she has covered the 2016 US Presidential Election with the Huffington Post in New York, led the APAC social media operations at CNBC in Singapore, and strategized content for Ascend, Harvard Business Review's millennial product focused on providing practical advice to young professionals.

Presently, she's leading content partnerships for JioTesseract, Jio's AR/VR company. She has built the world's third-largest XR Appstore and creator community from scratch that is passionate about bringing the next generation of computing into the hands of consumers.

She uses data-driven insights to strategically partner with AR and VR creators, who build meaningful applications for Jio's XR products.

In her personal time, she loves to travel (25+ countries), cook global cuisines (any Samin Nosrat fans here?), and indulge in and promote Indian folk art.
