Dr Vikas Pathak is a member of the faculty at Asian College of Journalism, Chennai. He is also a columnist at cnbcTV18.com and has 16 years of experience as a journalist. He has been deputy political editor with The Hindu, has headed the political coverage of Outlook Magazine, and has covered national politics, central government policies and Parliament for The Hindu and HT for a decade. He has covered many state assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections in 2009 and 2019 and has interviewed several ministers and political leaders. He has been a guest lecturer at IIMC since 2012 and has taught at SIMC (PG), Pune.
He has authored a book titled Contesting Nationalisms (Primus, 2018) and has a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
